Mustang Introduces Revolutionary ADAS Testing System
Twinsburg, Ohio, August 22, 2025: Mustang Advanced Engineering (MAE), a global leader in the design and manufacture of the highest quality, most accurate testing equipment such as chassis, engine, and transmission dynamometer systems, has announced the launch of a groundbreaking new testing solution developed specifically for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This innovative system, developed with the support of Rohde & Schwarz, enables precise, efficient, and affordable testing of critical ADAS functions. The new system can be installed in existing inspection lanes, and collision repair shops, which makes it economical for a wider variety of potential customers.
The system accommodates all-wheel drive vehicles, and integrates a compact, radar target simulator that has unmatched performance. Together, the system performs comprehensive testing and validation of five core ADAS functions
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): Simulates approaching objects from the side or blind spots.
- Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB): Recreates emergency scenarios to evaluate braking response.
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Tests the vehicle’s ability to maintain safe speed and following distance.
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Simulates unintentional lane drifting without signaling.
- Visual Inspection Mode: Allows for systematic visual verification of ADAS sensor calibration and functionality.
